Hello, MMCC-er-ians¹!
The wait is finally over! For the past 2 days, the MMCC staff have worked tirelessly to bring you a new MMCC. All server are now live and ready for players, all brand new and all reset today! Whether you want a current kitchen sink pack, an expert mode questing pack, or a nostalgia-filled blast from the past, we’ve got you covered. See our main website for a complete list of servers, all on the latest versions of their packs!² Please note that the member bot is still being upgraded, so member applications will be manual for now (still apply as normal). Instructions to join the new servers (especially to get legacy packs) are available on our wiki.
The new servers aren’t the only part of the new MMCC, we have new forums too! To an increasing extent recently, Discord has been drifting more towards a very for-profit model. While this is fine for them to do, it does raise some concerns for MMCC. As such, to help with diversification and to bring our community back to platforms that we control, we have completely re-done our forum away from the old, universally disliked, and mostly broken phpbb to a brand new Flarum-based system! It is our hope that the new forum will become as much of a community hub for MMCC as the Discord or even the servers themselves. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to any staff member or john01dav directly.
With the new forum comes another new feature: the issue tracker. Gone are the days of players’ requests getting buried in #support, and gone are the days of constant miscommunication when fixing issues. Now, instead of posting in #support on Discord, players should make a new forum thread for their issue with the template described here. Not only will this keep everything organized, and thus make issues be resolved more swiftly and effectively, but it will help to make the forums an integral part of our community.
