How long have you been playing on Modded Minecraft Club?
I have been playing on the server on/off since 2019 so for about 3 years years now. Currently about daily since the release of DJ2.
How often and at what times (In US-EST) can you be on each day (please be detailed)?
Every day 2PM till 8PM EST pretty much. Otherwise frequently lurking the discord chat aswell.
How long have you been playing Minecraft in-general?
Phew difficult question, a long time I'd say for about 12 years.
How long have you played Modded Minecraft?
For about 6-7 years.
In what ways have you already helped the server?
By contributing to and creating as much feedback as I can. Being helpful to fellow players and raising awareness of issues to staff/admins.
In what ways do you plan to help the server after you become a staff member and how will holding your requested rank help you do that?
I love to help fellow players wherever I can. May it be an issue with a setup they have or general questions about a mod or specifically a modpack. I plan to keep doing that by helping with issues I previously could not such as a quest failing to be detected, an item disappearing, server crash loops.. etc.
Why do you want to become a moderator/admin?
Mainly to help out with issues on DJ2 such as lag, crashes and items/blocks not functioning as expected.
Why do you play on Modded Minecraft Club rather than other servers?
Firstly because of the longevity of the modpacks on the server. When a new modpack is released(and as long as it still has a reasonable playerbase) you can expect it to stay around for years. This proofs to me that the staff cares about it's players and them being able to finish their playthrough which I quite like. Secondly the professionalism the server is set up in which shows in ways such as the way member applications are handled and a wiki for general information.
In what ways would you improve the server if you owned it?
I would try to promote players to aim for builds/setups with low strain on the server.
Have you ever been a staff member before (on a different server)?
If so, are you still a staff member? If not, why not? Please be detailed:
I have experience with running servers and the effort and time that goes into running one.
Have you ever been banned? If so, please explain why in a detailed manner:
No
Why should we choose you over other applicants or maintaining our present size?
Because I aim to be a very active member of the team and contribute to discussions. I am eager to learn about the way the server is run and suggest ideas where I can.
Please rate your English skills from 1-10, 1 being no English and 10 being a native speaker with perfect grammar:
I consider myself a solid 8 when it comes to the English language.
Do you speak any other languages? If so list them and rate them 1-10:
Dutch - 10 (native speaker)
What advice can you give to deal with people who have trouble acting maturely?
I am personally a big fan of trying to talk with people first. Especially when it comes to acting immaturely. Minecraft can attract an immature audience so some might be acting immaturely while they don't realize it. However this is still not a good excuse so I would first point it out to them and may they do it again I would act appropriately based on the situation.
What would you do as a moderator or admin if a new player joins and spams the chat with suggestions to make the server better?
I would listen to their feedback as I feel that any feedback is welcome. Depending on the feedback I might bring it up as a suggestion in the staff team. However if the player becomes annoying and is too eager(spamming) to give feedback and becomes annoying I would take steps in the following order: warning > kick > mute > ban.
What would you do as a moderator or admin if a player was griefed but they did not claim their build?
As a moderator I would try to investigate who(or what e.g. a machine) griefed their area and convey the issue to an admin. As an admin it depends on the situation. If a very big area of their base is griefed I can offer a rollback, otherwise I can refund their items/blocks. Both as an Admin and Moderator I would keep in mind that griefing any human-made builds is a no-go.
Would you respond differently if they claimed their build? If so, how?
I would ask a couple follow-up questions such as asking who else has access to their claimed area and reach out to them to find out if they have any idea. As an admin I would still refund their items/blocks.
What would you do if a player joins the server for the first time and suddenly brags in chat about having many more items than they should have at that point in the game?
I would try to find out whether they really have those items by checking their inventory and checking their whereabouts while being invisible. It is suspicious for them to have those items as they might have gotten them in a cheaty way.
