GTNH suffers from permanent lagspikes who can last for around 10 seconds and are really, really annoying

Every five minutes or so, there is a 5-10+ second lag spike where all TPS activity stops as reported by /xu_tps - and then it goes back to a reasonable rate for awhile, and then it occurs again.

Apparently we have opus or something that can be used to track these down, but we do not have access to it.

It happens continuously and immediately after reboot, and no matter who is logged in, so it's likely some oredict setup on a chunkloaded base

It’s still happening - is it possible to log to the console when worldbackup happens like the server does when shutting down? Perhaps worldbackup or garbage collection is triggering it.

Arguably it may be worse now but I don’t have objective metrics.

and I graphed them and it appears to most commonly cluster around five minute intervals. Can we cross reference to any periodic process that GT may run? Are world backups on a 5 minute clock?

Vaskel sure I can do that but it’s literally every five minutes all hours of the day.

well we know these are caused by saves now but they still happen

can we donate for some RAM for a RAMDISK to save to or something
